Empowering youth through hands-on trade training, spiritual growth, and character development. Building Belize's future workforce, one graduate at a time.
Tubal Trade & Vocational Institute was born from the conviction that every young person deserves a chance to learn a trade, build a career, and take their rightful place in society. Founded by Lyndon and Lavern Bailey, TTVI has grown from a small program serving 9 at-risk youth into a recognized institution that has graduated over 2,000 students.
Our holistic approach trains the whole person, equipping students not just with technical skills, but with character, integrity, and a heart for service.
To inspire each youth with the principles of truth, obedience, honor, integrity, and purity, making them a positive workforce for the stability and uplifting of society.
To restore the image of God in every soul. To train the varied capabilities that people possess, mind, soul, and body, developing character that equips each individual for this life and beyond.
Tubal exists to teach youth to use the talents God has given them to accomplish the greatest good in this world. We equip students to be thinkers, not mere reflectors of others' thoughts.
Growing up on Belize City's south side in a single-parent household, a young Lyndon Bailey craved more education than he could access. He pledged that one day he would help young people like himself, those who lacked basic education and job training skills.
He never let go of that vision. Despite financial constraints, Lyndon and his wife Lavern watched the situation in Belize City worsen as youth fell into gang violence. They decided to act.
In 2001, Lyndon put his career as a contractor on hold. He sold his truck, dug deep into their savings, reclaimed a piece of land in Ladyville, and secured a loan to erect the buildings that would become TTVI. They opened their doors with 9 at-risk youth, 3 teachers, and one secretary.

Today, over 2,000 graduates have passed through TTVI, many now working as licensed electricians, skilled tradespeople, and hospitality professionals. Lyndon and Lavern's dedication and commitment continue to change lives every day.

We have heard thy call, Lord Jesus,
And Tubal responds with joy.
We will serve the youth now and always,
To be fitted for your courts.
The youths of Tubal, working hands and minds and heart.
The youths of Tubal, you have given us a start.
As we learn a trade for service, we will serve with loving hearts.
The youths of Tubal, helping others do their part.
We will pledge thee our allegiance,
As we gladly do our part.
To tell others of your glory,
And be ready for your call.
The youths of Tubal, we will serve the Lord with joy.
The youths of Tubal, we will spread his word abroad.
As we learn a trade for service, we will serve with loving hearts.
The youths of Tubal, helping others do their part.
